This site is the semi-private workspace for Jim Thayer. As will be readily apparent, the ideas presented here all relate to my ongoing writing projects.

These include both fiction and non-fiction works, as well as offering a repository for ideas, snippets, and outlines for future story ideas.

    Hello Jim,

Did you work at the Benson Hotel in 1980? Just looking for that Jim.

    Thanks!

      Yup, that’s me.

Great! I was looking for you last October because we had a reunion at the Benson. I organized it and it was a success. We had a couple GM’s, the Chef, Nelvia Turner, Gayle Larson, Kathy Barnabey, Kaspar Murer and several F&B people. It was a mix between a birthday surprise for Nelvia. (she turned 91 in September) and just a reunion bringing people back together. If you’re interested in attending the next one I organize which might be in the spring time, can you please send me your email address?

Hope you and your family are well!

        Hi Jim,

Can you please send me an email so I can send you one?

        Thank you,
        Nancy

(Not sure this went through…. sending again.)

Would you like to meet for lunch on Friday with Gayle Larson, Paul Himmelman, Don Berger and me? We’ve been trying to track you down. Let me know. Thanks!

Sorry to be so elusive. I’ve been ill recently.Hospitalized for a month after serious spinal surgery. Also diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Spending most of my time in therapy, doctor’s appointments. Not communicating with e-mail much. Trying to keep life simple. Also spending much of my free time writing another book.

BUT, would love to meet for lunch on weekends and Tuesdays. Other days I’m committed to my Parkinson’s therapy: boxing especially designed for PD affected people. Best way to reach me is by phone. Let me know what your phone # is since I’m besieged by bogus spam call, Jim Thayer 503-860-3297
