This is the family web site for Jim and Cynthia Thayer’s family in Portland Oregon. It’s the web home of our son’s Allen, Charlie, Maximilian, Jamie and our dog Loki (who has his own page).

Allen lives in San Francisco and is engaged to Jamie Brown. They plan to marry this coming August. Allen works at The World of Good - a web site dedicated to sustainable products.

Charlie plays in a band and serves pizzas at Rocco’s when he’s not working on his music.

Maximilian is currently at Earlham College, but plans to return to Oregon this fall to attend the University of Oregon in Eugene.

Jamie is attending Catlin Gable School, but is also active in Post 58 where he spends much of his time rock climbing.

Cynthia works at the famed Portland haberdasher, John Helmer’s.

Jim is working at The Cadmus Group as a Senior Associate in charge of marketing the firm’s energy efficiency management tools, as well as coordinating their sustainability efforts.

He is also active as the President of the Southwest Hills Residential League, the neighborhood association for the Council Crest area. He recently also published a hiking book, called Portland Forest Hikes, published by Timber Press.
